Peoplefluent Vendor Management System Version 6.0 Adds Enhanced User Experience…from Peoplefluent

    June 21st, 2012

Interactive Functionality includes Intuitive Navigation, Dashboards with Drag-and-Drop Widgets, Interactive Icons and New Candidate Comparison Feature

HRchitect includes Peoplefluent in our list of top Talent Acquisition Systems vendors and top Talent Management Systems vendors that businesses should consider. If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, or any HR system, don’t rely solely on “recommendations” or published reports. Do yourself a huge favor and talk to HRchitect first. After 15 years, HRchitect has unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation. Simply put, do not invest in any kind of HR technology without consulting with the experts first. HRchitect is always available to help!

Peoplefluent™, offering a unique combination of best-of-breed mobile and SaaS suite solutions for Talent Management, Vendor Management and Workforce Compliance and Diversity, today announced the general availability of the latest version of its Vendor Management System, VMS 6.0. Consistent with the Company’s global Recruitment Management System (RMS), Peoplefluent VMS 6.0 features intuitive navigation, dashboards with drag-and-drop widgets and single sign-on, easy-to-use approach.

Peoplefluent’s Vendor Management applications provide important visibility into the extended workforce – including contingent and contract workers, as well as an organization’s services procurement spend – allowing organizations to better manage their spend, compliance, risk and efficiency. By addressing the total workforce, VMS 6.0 enables organizations to gain control over talent decisions, driving improved productivity while averting the misclassification and other issues related to contingent workforce management.

Tom Tisdale, Senior Vice President at Peoplefluent, said, “With VMS 6.0, the user experience supports stakeholder collaboration, including line of business employees, engagement managers and senior management. VMS provides a 360 degree view of contingent labor as part of an overall workforce strategy.” He continued, “Our ability to manage talent acquisition and integration in a single solution suite, combined with VMS intelligent analytics, rate benchmarking and ability to integrate with other key human resource management functionality, furthers Peoplefluent’s vision of harnessing the power of talent.”

Also new in VMS 6.0 is Candidate Comparison. This feature enables users to select and compare the candidates submitted to a requisition based on selection criteria they define. Candidate Comparison presents selected candidates as side-by-side views to enable managers to evaluate best fit candidates based on the criteria that matters to them. Candidate Comparison also helps to standardize the decision-making process, ensuring the choices are based on objective measures.

Growing concerns about the disparities between required skills and available talent have forced organizations to source talent globally as well as to recruit “free agent” or contingent workers. While expanding the talent pool in this manner delivers benefits such as cost control and the ability to satisfy “one off” project requirements, intensifying governance pressures mean companies need to carefully manage the risks associated with independent contractors and vendors. VMS 6.0 has been especially designed to assist organizations through proper vendor management and reporting.

Tisdale continued, “When we speak with executives, managers and HR professionals alike, there is one pervasive need: a single, consolidated view of HR. Peoplefluent continues to support this requirement through our comprehensive Talent Management applications, whether they are accessed over the Web or on mobile devices.”

VMS 6.0 also provides a flexible, global solution designed to address the Agency Workers Regulation. Designed to support U.K. and European obligations, the solution’s new configuration settings and fields offer program management teams the appropriate level of information to meet various implementation styles. By enabling these features, organizations can measure contingent worker length in service by job function; capture permanent employee equivalent numeration packages; and associate umbrella worker types.

Already in use by several high profile healthcare and business services organizations, VMS 6.0 is available now.

Jobscience Delivers Facebook Job Board App Integrated with Award-Winning Recruiting Solution…from Jobscience

    June 16th, 2012

Organizations Centrally Manage Facebook and Website Job Posting within the Same Application

Jobscience Inc., the leader in Talent Management for the Social Enterprise, today announced a Facebook Job Board application for its Recruiting solution. This new social recruiting app enables corporations, staffing agencies, and executive search firms to post and manage job openings on their Facebook business page from within Jobscience’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Jobscience customers avoid the complexity and extra time needed to manage two separate job boards – one on their website and another on their Facebook page.

“Social networks have become essential tools for recruiting talent, but many firms still are struggling to figure out how to use them effectively for recruiting,” said Ted Elliott, CEO and founder of Jobscience. “Facebook is where millions of job seekers are – so companies need a simple and effective way to spread the word about employment opportunities within this popular network. Our new Facebook Job Board app simplifies the process so that companies can tap into the largest social network in the world – with very little extra effort.”

The next big thing in recruiting strategies is reaching a greater number of qualified candidates through social media networks, according to an April 2012 study conducted by Research Now. The research found that Facebook continues to gain importance as a recruiting tool as it is cited as the second most important social media network – after LinkedIn. The same study found that 36% of corporate recruiters expect to use Facebook more this year than they did in 2011.

“Team Member Referrals are our highest source for new hires. Facebook is a friendly place for team members to tap their personal connections,” said Concetta Lewis, People Team Lead, Daxko. “The Jobscience Facebook Job Board application provides an easy way for team members to let their Facebook connections know about employment opportunities at Daxko and direct them to not only our company Facebook page but also a page that contains information about our open positions where they can immediately apply.”

Online recruiting research lab Potentialpark found that HR professionals prefer interacting with students, graduates and early career professionals on Facebook. (Source: Potentialpark Online Talent Attraction & Communication Study, 2011). The report found that few students and graduates have accounts on business networks, such as LinkedIn, and they don’t update their profile and network as often as they do on their Facebook profile. The study surveyed more than 30,000 students and graduates worldwide and analyzed the online career presence of more than 500 companies in the US, Europe and Asia.

The Jobscience Facebook Job Board app is immediately available as part of the Jobscience Recruiting Spring ’12 Release. Current Jobscience Recruiting customers can use the app for no additional charge. Jobscience Recruiting is the 2011 winner of Brandon Hall’s Gold Award for Best Advancement in Talent Acquisition Technology.

Expanding Company Selects Ultimate Software’s UltiPro Workplace for Business Gains…from Ultimate Software

    June 16th, 2012

HRchitect includes Ultimate Software in our list of top HRIS vendors that organizations should consider.

Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading cloud provider of people management solutions, announced recently that Timco Services, a provider of high quality services and tools for a wide variety of customers throughout the petroleum industry, has selected Ultimate Software’s UltiPro Workplace because of the solution’s streamlined people management, scalability, and easy-to-use workforce analytics.

Headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana, Timco Services, Inc. offers diesel hammers and casing running systems as well as tools for rent for tubular handling. Having added several hundreds of jobs in the last year, and with more expansion planned in the next year, executive leadership realized that the company needed one comprehensive solution for effective people management. Timco Services selected UltiPro Workplace in February 2012.

“We have been handling all of our HR operations by paper, and our payroll processes have been run through an accounting system. In the last year or so, we have tripled our employees and more than doubled our locations, and it’s no longer feasible for us to continue managing HR without the right technology,” says Kevin Credeur, human resources manager at Timco Services, Inc.

“During our analysis of various vendors and technologies, we clearly liked Ultimate’s solution because it is comprehensive, flexible, and easy to use. Plus, Ultimate has a proven history of success, especially with cloud technology. UltiPro can accommodate us as we continue to experience and plan for considerable growth.”

In addition to providing economies of scale to meet business fluctuations or expansions, Ultimate’s cloud delivery provides companies like Timco with a range of business gains, such as increases in efficiency, control, savings, performance, and reliability. A crucial factor in Timco’s decision was that Ultimate Software has led the market in technology innovation with cloud-delivered HCM. Ultimate launched its first cloud solution in 2002, and today the company supports more than seven million person records in itsmulti-tenant SaaS environment.

“UltiPro makes the most sense for our business,” said Credeur. “We like that it is a state-of-the-art solution that is very easy to use for administrators, managers, and employees. With our company’s rapid expansion, our teams will definitely benefit from the cohesive reporting and workforce analytics. We’re ready to take advantage of quicker, more detailed reporting so we can better manage our people, especially related to talent management and payroll.”

“Cloud technology has enabled major advances in HCM, offering tremendous business value to organizations of all sizes and across all industries. But cloud delivery is just the platform—a cloud solution is still only as good as the depth of functionality, configurability, and user experience it delivers,” said Chris Phenicie, chief sales officer for UltiPro Workplace at Ultimate Software. “We’re proud that, after thoroughly evaluating the people management solutions available today, companies like Timco Services recognize Ultimate’s commitment to delivering comprehensive HR, payroll, and talent management tools that have a real impact on business performance.”

SumTotal® Systems, Inc., the global leader in Strategic Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, recently announced the opening of its new office in Shanghai, China. This signifies a further milestone in the company’s growth across the Asia-Pacific region and provides greater access and support to SumTotal’s existing customer base in China.

According to the prediction of Boston Consulting Group (BCG), China’s GDP is expected to increase by more than $ 10 trillion by 2030. However, this growth is not from the scale advantage of the labor force, but rather due to human resources capacity which can increase per capita output and productivity. Organizations in the region need to develop a deep understanding of the nuances of the Chinese workforce in order to maximize performance of their human capital and achieve profitability in an increasingly competitive market.

“As China continues to rapidly change and grow, a real challenge for local and multinational corporations is determining how they can keep up and adapt their talent management best practices to meet the needs of the workforce. With the opening of this new office and expansion of our China presence, we can provide the thought leadership and guidance businesses are looking for in this changing business climate,” commented Rishi Rana, General Manager, APAC, SumTotal Systems.

“We are expanding our presence across Asia-Pacific as a part of our ongoing global growth initiative and maintaining our mission to provide the best human capital management solutions and support to our customers regionally,” said Gregg Monastiero, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at SumTotal. “We are experiencing ever increasing demand from organizations and are dedicated to establishing a long-term presence in this key region.”

MAD Greens Sees “Inspired” Results With PeopleMatter Platform…from PeopleMatter

    June 16th, 2012

Integrated Talent Management Solutions Lead To Impressive Results

If you are looking for a new Talent Management System, or any HR system, don’t rely solely on “recommendations” or published reports. Do yourself a huge favor and talk to HRchitect first. After 15 years, HRchitect has unparalleled knowledge of the HR and Talent Management vendor community and can save you time and money in selection and implementation. Simply put, do not invest in any kind of HR technology without consulting with the experts first. HRchitect is always available to help!

MAD Greens — Inspired Eats, a fresh concept on salads based in Colorado, and PeopleMatter, the only comprehensive HR Platform designed for the service industry, recently released ROI results from their partnership in streaming the company’s HR processes. In July 2011, MAD Greens selected PeopleMatter’s automated tools to streamline the entire hiring process into one online Platform. In nine months, the company tracked a 50 percent reduction in manager time spend while increasing data accuracy and ensuring 100 percent compliance.

Prior to implementing PeopleMatter talent management solutions, MAD Greens used paper-based hiring. The growing company struggled to complete required paperwork in a timely fashion. With a small executive staff the greater challenge was ensuring accuracy while tracking requirements, deadlines and updates. With PeopleMatter in place, the restaurant chain could use one central, online location to input, process and store information.

“At MAD Greens, we all wear a lot of hats and it is hard to find time for everything,” said Marley Hodgson, MAD Greens CEO and co-founder. “Taking care of your staff is a full-time job but we don’t always have that luxury. PeopleMatter essentially acts like another team member and that’s critical.”

One of the staffing challenges MAD Greens faced early on was assessing applicants to ensure consistency in hiring decisions. It was a time issue, managers didn’t have time to do the process efficiently. The entire hiring and onboarding process could take up to two weeks. PeopleMatter HIRE™ cut the processing time down to three days and the managers’ time spent on hiring in half. The software also allows the “MAD” company to put a little of its culture into the online onboarding process. Hodgson actually took the time to film a welcoming video for employees to be introduced to the MAD Greens mission.

“It’s a consolidated Platform, helping increase operational efficiency and providing a place our company culture can reside as much as possible on the Internet,” said Hodgson. “It’s really nice when I walk in a store and a new hire says, ‘Hey, I just watched a video of you welcoming me.’”

For MAD Greens, the number one benefit from using PeopleMatter solutions is the accuracy of the data. The “scary proposition” of company audits are in the past. Now the simplicity of the Platform ensures that the restaurant chain’s information is 80 percent more accurate and in an easy-to-access location.

“The PeopleMatter Platform is designed well and clearly thought out,” said Hodgson. “Lots of systems say they are simple, this one actually is. And simplicity is where it is at in our business.”

“Working with exceptional people who believe in your corporate mission is what makes serving our clients so satisfying,” said Nate DaPore, PeopleMatter president and CEO. “MAD Greens is really using the software the way it is meant to be used.”

Brands will be speaking in a keynote panel at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference in Boston, Massachusetts on June 20, 2012. The best of their thinking is now ready to share, consolidated into a few management “hacks” – blueprints for organizations of the future.

Attendees of this informative session will learn:

    • The top ideas that emerged from leading management innovators during the Management 2.0 Hackathon
    • Unique management hacks that will help transform organizations of all sizes around the world

SilkRoad Technology, Inc., a leading global provider of cloud-based social talent management solutions, announced today that it has partnered with HireVue, Inc., a provider of the leading Digital Interview Management platform.  The new partnership gives SilkRoad’s Life Suite customers, starting with OpenHire for recruiting, single-click access to HireVue’s SaaS-based Digital Interview Platform.  HireVue’s interviewing solutions streamline and enhance all types of interviews including On Demand, Live, Phone, and In-person interviews with guides and questions, and provide reporting tools that improve the speed, quality, consistency and transparency of interviews.

With an increased focus on social recruiting and overflowing applicant pools, HR needs to be highly selective with who they bring in for an in-person interview.  The traditional interviewing process can be a time consuming and cost prohibitive process for both companies and candidates as recruiters seek out top talent across multiple geographies.  As a result, both companies and candidates spend a great deal of time, money and energy in interviews that don’t always result in quality hires.  By integrating HireVue with SilkRoad, customers benefit by having the ability to interview, share and compare candidates from anywhere in the world.  With HireVue’s Digital Interview Platform, HR is able to better focus on identifying top talent while also improving the candidate experience.

“With traditional interviewing processes, employers waste a lot of time and money interviewing candidates who seem right on paper and over the phone only to discover they’re not a right fit in person. HireVue offers a highly effective method for gaining better insight to candidates, improving quality of hire and helping reduce expensive employee turnover,” said David Bradford, CEO, HireVue.  “Our partnership with SilkRoad will deliver a cost-effective platform that enables their customers to standardize the interview process for a fairer and more objective evaluation of candidates, allowing them to quickly prescreen candidates and improve the quality of hires.”

    With HireVue, SilkRoad customers can:

    • Boost productivity by reducing the amount of time recruiters traditionally spend interviewing and increase the time they spend identifying new applicant sources
    • Increase quality of hires with customized prescreening interviewing tools and reach more applicable candidates, no matter their locale
    • Recruit passive candidates by accessing a database of stored recorded interviews
    • Reduce travel costs through remote and On Demand Interviews™ that enable companies to invite candidates to a digital interview that can be viewed by one person or shared with the entire team
    • Improve the candidate experience by eliminating the costs they incur and time spent away from their current jobs when interviewing in-person

“At SilkRoad, we’re committed to providing our customers with the latest HR tools and solutions they need to attract, retain and engage top talent,” said Flip Filipowski, CEO, SilkRoad Technology.  “With HireVue, we’re continuing to enable our customers to break free from traditional, costly, labor-intensive HR activities.  This partnership gives our customers the ability to focus on recruitment strategies that lead to a high performance workforce rather than manual and costly interviewing and prescreening practices.”

HireVue is also a platinum sponsor of SilkRoad’s user conference, SilkRoad Connections, taking place at the Camelback Inn, A JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona, June 3-6, 2012.  More than 500 customers, partners and employees will gather together to learn, share and connect on evolving HR trends and technologies.  Kevin Marasco, CMO of HireVue, is presenting “Digital Interviewing – Keep it Up!” on June 6, 2012 at 9:45 MST.  The session will explore how to increase the quality of candidates though the best candidate experience available through digital interviewing.

TalentBin Unveils Breakthrough Talent Search Engine: Transforms the Web Into Largest-Ever Talent Sourcing Database…from TalentBin

    May 31st, 2012

Available as a Standalone Interface or Application Tracking System Plug-in, TalentBin Social Recruiting Tool Accelerates Talent Discovery and Ensures No Candidate is out of Reach

TalentBin has just turned the entire professional web into the largest talent sourcing database known to mankind with its recent public launch. Already serving the social media recruiting needs of over 60 companies such as Intuit, Groupon, Dolby, and Yahoo!, TalentBin’s Talent Search Engine gives recruiters and hiring managers access to the most comprehensive professional profile information available, helping them pinpoint highly qualified, hard-to-find candidates more quickly and accurately than ever before. Available as a standalone search engine or plug-in for existing HRIS, Recruiting CRM, or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), TalentBin merges pertinent career information scattered all over the internet into a single unified web resume, to help recruiters discover, research, and engage with the best talent the web has to offer.

Recruiters and hiring managers face a common challenge: top talent is rarely actively looking for new employment. As a result, their professional profiles on LinkedIn and in other communities typically lack the skills and experience detail needed to help recruiters bring them exciting new opportunities for career growth. TalentBin’s talent search engine was created to address this pain point – to not just discover, but aggregate a candidate’s implicit professional activity: the information they share across social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Meetup, Quora, and more. This, coupled with industry-specific social communities like Github, Sourceforge, and Bitbucket for software engineering, bolsters anemic profiles with vital information on skills and expertise. The result is a more complete and accurate profile that provides a 360-degree view of a candidate, covering professional skills to personal interests, all essential information to determining ideal job fit. TalentBin then takes it one step further, compiling all contact information such as email addresses, Twitter handle, and more.

“The sphere of social media presents a rich but unstructured landscape of professionally relevant information, as opposed to common professional networking communities that are typically well structured but relatively information sparse,” explained Peter Kazanjy, Co-Founder of TalentBin. “It turns out, knowledge workers are better defined and understood by what they do and where they go, far more than what they choose to publish in a single profile. We decided to harness this insight by crawling as much of the professional web as possible, deciphering the rich, but unstructured ‘professional exhaust’, and extracting the most critical information to deliver a fully comprehensive web resume.”

Users can access the TalentBin talent search engine from anywhere as a web application, as a browser plug-in for Google Chrome, or within their existing Recruiting CRM, ATS, or HRIS system through an API, the goal of which is to make social recruiting a seamless addition to their talent sourcing and hiring process. Currently, TalentBin has a number of partner integrations underway, and already has over 200,000,000 candidate profiles cultivated from over thirty professional social media communities, and steadily growing.

“TalentBin has proven to be a big advance in how our recruiters find top technical talent,” said Dustin Carper, Employment Brand Strategist at Groupon, the world’s leading local commerce and daily deals company.  ”Our recruiters and sourcers love it, since it helps them do their jobs more efficiently, and replaces the painstaking manual process of using Google. We made a new hire within the first few months of using TalentBin, and have seen that the overall talent level is much higher than we expected. The time saved and the quality of candidates have made this a very valuable tool for Groupon.”

“As a technology sourcer/recruiter in a highly competitive market,  innovative tools like TalentBin give us a competitive advantage,” commented Jennifer Hasche, Recruiter at Intuit.  “My sourcing team quickly realized that TalentBin gives us results that other new and traditional tools, alike, just can’t — helping us find many highly qualified candidates that weren’t located with LinkedIn and Google searches. With TalentBin’s talent search engine, it seems nobody is out of reach. We’ve found it to be a massive timesaver and a critical tool in our discovery of top talent.”

15th Annual HR Technology Conference and Exposition Announces 2012 Program Details

    May 26th, 2012

Milestone Event to Gather Thousands of Experts, Practitioners and Vendors for Annual Town Meeting on Using Technology for All Aspects of HR

Human Resource Executive magazine, the premier publication focused on strategic issues in HR, recently announced program details of the 15th Annual HR Technology Conference & Exposition, which will be held October 8-10, 2012, at the West Wing of McCormick Place in Chicago.

Considered one of the top two annual HR conferences along with SHRM, this year’s event promises to be the biggest one yet and will focus on today’s most pressing global HR technology issues, such as cloud computing and social media across the enterprise.

For the last 14 years, the HR Technology Conference has helped attendees get the maximum business benefit from technology for HR while providing them with practical advice on the many challenges facing HR practitioners. For 2012, attendees will hear from more than 70 senior executives representing today’s leading world-class organizations on a wide range of topics concerning the use of HR technology.

The 2012 event follows the success of last year’s 14th Annual HR Technology Conference. With a record-breaking 220 exhibitors, 30 percent more attendees compared to 2010, and representatives from 27 countries, including high-growth markets like Brazil, Russia, India, China, Indonesia and South Korea, the conference solidified its position as the premier international HR event. Attendee loyalty continued to remain high: seven companies attending in 2011 were there for the ninth consecutive year, and 12 companies returned for the eighth time in the last nine years.

One of the most anticipated sessions of the 2012 conference will be “Bringing HR into the Cloud – Naomi’s Master Panel.” During this session, Naomi Lee Bloom, the world’s leading expert on HR technology, moderates a panel of six senior product executives gathered together for the first time on one stage to discuss how their organizations are pioneering the next frontier in HR technology.

The conference includes several sessions focused on social media and its use in the enterprise beyond recruiting and learning. In the session “Marsh Transforms Itself with Social Technology,” participants will hear how Marsh Inc., a leader in insurance, leverages state-of-the-art social technologies to harness the expertise, networks, resources and ideas of all of its employees. Another highlight promises to be the “Third Annual Social Media Panel,” in which four industry experts will discuss the role of collaboration networks deployed across the enterprise with an eye toward adoption and getting real work done.

Aside from cloud computing and social media, attendees will participate in a wide range of sessions in tracks such as Strategic View, Talent Management, Workforce Analytics & Planning, Recruiting and HCM & Workforce Management. New for this year, the conference will feature a separate track for its Expert Discussions sessions led by five of the world’s “Most Powerful HR Technology Experts” as selected by Human Resource Executive magazine.

This year’s event includes a new Outsourcing track focusing on RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing), benefits administration and payroll.

Other highlights include the “Second Annual Candidate Experience Awards,” honoring the “Best Companies to Apply to Work For” and the “Sixth Annual Talent Management Panel,” in which influential HR operations and technology executives will discuss the various stages of talent management strategy and deployments. Additionally, during the “Awesome New Technologies for HR” session, attendees will see live demonstrations of the most innovative new software and tools from every corner of HR.

“Based on the quality of the speakers and presentations and the number of vendors and attendees already committed, this year’s conference is shaping up to be our most successful to date,” said Bill Kutik, the original conference co-chair and technology columnist for Human Resource Executive. “Whether HR technology is your responsibility, your career or your problem, the 15th Annual HR Technology Conference provides a unique opportunity for HR professionals to interact with each other and the major players across the industry who develop the solutions to today’s biggest HR challenges.”

More details about the HR Technology Conference & Exposition can be found at www.HRTechnologyConference.com or call 1-800-727-1227. Register by August 6 to save $450.00.

WorkForce Software, the leading provider of workforce management solutions for organizations with complex labor policies and stringent compliance demands, announces that Loyola Marymount University (LMU) has automated time and attendance activities campus-wide with its EmpCenter® solution.

The largest Catholic university on the United States’ west coast, LMU annually hosts more than 9,000 undergraduate, graduate, and law students to its 142-acre campus in West Los Angeles. LMU’s hundred-year strong tradition of academic excellence has been bolstered in part by strategic technology and process investments that lower costs and provide richer employee experiences. In partnership with WorkForce Software, LMU now provides its employees and managers with a world-class time and attendance system, combining powerful features with a simple and compelling user experience.

When an ERP-based solution failed to meet its full range of higher education requirements, LMU engaged WorkForce to deliver a comprehensive solution on an aggressive implementation schedule. After a successful implementation, EmpCenter now manages time and attendance for LMU’s entire population, including those individuals working multiple jobs.

“EmpCenter’s flexibility and functional depth allowed us to automate our most complex time and labor needs, such as grant tracking and multiple assignments, and has delivered significant efficiencies as a result,” commented Lori A. Husein, Vice President and Controller at LMU. “Our employees appreciate its straightforward and user-friendly interface, which made for a smooth transition.”

The ability to have EmpCenter delivered on a SaaS basis was also a key feature. Patrick Frontiera, LMU’s Vice President for Information Technology, added, “From an IT perspective, EmpCenter gets SaaS right. The solution is highly flexible and reliable, which will make it easy and cost-effective to adapt to our ongoing needs.”

“We’re thrilled to have Loyola Marymount University join our growing list of higher education clients,” said Marc Moschetto, WorkForce Software’s Vice President of Marketing. “Increasingly, colleges and universities want a solution that will be valued by their employees, easy to own, and addresses 100% of their complex pay rules… and EmpCenter is uniquely able to meet these critical goals.”

Canada-Based Insurer Selects Ultimate Software’s UltiPro for Strategic People Management…from Ultimate Software

    May 26th, 2012

HRchitect includes Ultimate Software in our list of top HRIS vendors that organizations should consider.

Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading cloud provider of people management solutions, announced recently The Co-operators Group Limited, one of Canada’s leading insurers with 6,500 employees, has selected the UltiPro solution to consolidate its people-centric operations, improve the precision and delivery of workforce data, and elevate its strategic talent management capabilities.

The Co-operators is a Canadian-owned and -operated company that has been using separate systems for HR and payroll as well as other in-house systems to fill functional gaps. With eight business entities, the insurance company needed one HCM solution that could handle the entire employee lifecycle for its multiple business units and that included a strong payroll engine and talent management features. To achieve its objectives, The Co-operators HR team selected UltiPro in December 2011.

“In addition to having one technology provider that manages the entire scope of our people management processes, we especially needed advanced functionality for strategic talent management,” said Christopher Perkins, director of change management at The Co-operators Group. “UltiPro delivers the recruitment, performance management, and succession management features to more effectively attract and retain the best possible workforce for our business.”

In addition to elevating its strategic talent management, The Co-operators is also planning to improve HR effectiveness and efficiencies across the organization by centralizing employee information into one cohesive solution, improving the accuracy and integrity of its data, and using workflows to expedite and standardize workforce changes.

“We participated in a year-long RFP process that compared dozens of HCM and technology vendors, and in the end, UltiPro stood out as the right solution to provide the functionality, usability, and overall value that will support our business,” said Perkins.

“Ultimate Software is very pleased to offer businesses in Canada a comprehensive technology solution for HR and payroll that gives them control over their information, immediate access to centralized business intelligence, and tools that take talent management to a strategic level, not just the administrative process of submitting an employment application or completing an annual performance review,” said Greg Swick, chief sales officer at Ultimate Software. “The ability for a company to effectively manage and strengthen its talent sets it apart from its competitors, and achieving this goal has become a model of good business practices for top companies like The Co-operators Group. We welcome this organization to Ultimate Software’s family of business partners, and we look forward to a relationship that will provide long-term results.”
