Accomplished Software Engineer Recognized for Developing Groundbreaking Technology to Transform How Companies Hire

LEBANON, N.H. – July 28, 2015Appcast, the first pay-per-applicant job ad exchange, today announced that Dzmitry Nikitsin, the company’s chief technology officer (CTO), has been selected by Workforce magazine as a 2015 Game Changer.

Now in its fifth year, Workforce’s Game Changers award competition aims to recognize the next generation of workplace leaders, under the age of 40, who have made a significant impact on the HR function. The winners are selected by the senior writers and editors of Workforce, who determined the 2015 winners based on their professional accomplishments and personal achievements. Nikitsin was recognized with this honor for developing innovative solutions that improve recruitment for candidates and employers alike.

Nikitsin developed his first game-changing technology solution as CTO of StartWire, a StartDateLabs company. During this time, he designed an innovative platform to address the “resume black hole” in which job candidates often find themselves, having no insight or updates as to where they stand in the hiring process. Nikitsin solved this problem through a platform that provides free, automatic status updates to applicants via daily emails and texts. Used by more than 4.5 million job seekers, the solution brings relief to individuals who previously had no ability to track their job applications.

After being appointed CTO of Appcast, another StartDateLabs company, in 2013, Nikitsin turned his attention to the employer side to help recruiters find qualified talent more efficiently and cost effectively. In just one year, he developed a unique, pay-per-application job advertising model that is fundamentally changing how companies buy advertising media. Moving away from traditional click-based advertising pricing models, the Appcast platform enables employers to pay only when a job seeker applies. As a result, recruiters can allocate budgets toward hard-to-fill positions that actually need advertising, giving them significantly improved returns on their advertising spend.

Nikitsin’s work on the groundbreaking Appcast platform received one of the industry’s most prestigious honors, a 2014 Top HR Product Award by Human Resource Executive. In addition, the platform was recognized by the Recruiting Service Innovation Awards with a Platinum Award, the highest honor.

“There is no doubt that Dzmitry’s innovations have had a dramatic impact on the $5 billion recruitment advertising space. Not only has he helped solve the frustrating issue of the resume black hole, but his work on the Appcast platform and its cost-per-application model have brought risk-free leverage to employers looking to raise the ROI on their recruitment spend,” said Chris Forman, CEO and founder of StartDateLabs. “The HR industry needs more creative thinkers like Dzmitry; I know of no one more deserving of this prestigious Game Changers recognition.”

“I am extremely honored to receive the distinction of being named a Workforce Game Changer and to be recognized for my work in transforming how companies connect with top candidates,” said Nikitsin. “As employers and candidates alike are constantly seeking ways to improve the hiring process, I look forward to continuing to develop new innovations that will solve the biggest pain points in recruiting today.”
