Report highlights how companies that invest in the Achievers Employee Success Platform™ see drastically improved employee engagement, productivity and performance results
San Francisco and Toronto — June 9, 2015. Achievers, an Employee Success Platform™ that helps enterprise companies reward and recognize their employees, today announced the results of “Improving Business Results Through Social Recognition” – a report conducted in partnership with HCM research firm, The Brandon Hall Group (BHG). The research reveals how companies that invest in the Achievers Employee Success Platform™ outperform their competitors that do not implement the Achievers platform. Additionally, the report highlights that organizations focused on creating a culture of recognition and investing in innovative technology to support this culture are able to dramatically improve employee engagement, productivity and performance.
BHG surveyed more than 200 companies on employee engagement and recognition at the beginning of 2015. Most notably, the insights reveal that companies who invest in social recognition programs see a 96% employee participation rate in engagement efforts, compared to a 38% participation rate in companies not leveraging social recognition. In fact, companies with a formal strategy for engagement cite consistent employee recognition as the most effective tool for talent management.
“The research is clear – and we’re thrilled that the Achievers Employee Success Platform™ is providing our clients with a major competitive edge over their competitors,” said Eric Lochner, Achievers President & CEO. “Leading companies that invest in social recognition technology no longer view employee recognition as traditional rewards or company ‘perks’, but rather as a strategic business endeavor.”
“Every organization needs a heartbeat and make no mistake about it, at ATB Financial, a 77-year old, 5,000 person company, the heartbeat of our company, is our Everyday Heroes program, powered by Achievers,” said Lorne Rubis, ATB Financial’s Chief People Officer. “We have realized incredible business results throughout our three-year partnership with Achievers, and their ‘Employee Success Platform’. It continues to drive our culture, keep our team members recognized, engaged and motivated, every day.”
Key findings surrounding companies using the Achievers Employee Success Platform™ include:
• 96% of Achievers customers reported improved engagement results, compared with just 52% of companies not using Achievers;
• 88% of Achievers customers reported improved retention rates, compared with 56% of companies not using Achievers;
• 85% of Achievers customers reported increased employee performance, compared with 53% of companies not using Achievers;
• 82% of Achievers customers reported higher levels of productivity, compared with only 53% of companies not using Achievers.
“When a company consistently acknowledges an employee’s positive behaviors that individual is more likely to feel motivated, contribute to organizational performance, and be productive,” said Madeline Laurano, Brandon Hall Group Vice President and Principal Analyst of Talent Acquisition. “Employee engagement is the number one business concern around the world for executives right now and investing in a recognition program should be an integral part of any company’s engagement strategy.”
