Company Triples Customer Base, Extends Functionality and Becomes Recruiting Platform of Choice for More Global Organizations

NEW YORK (Jan. 27, 2016) – Greenhouse Software, the leading recruiting and onboarding platform, today announced details of the strong momentum built throughout 2015 as the company continues to bring new innovations to the recruiting space. During the past year, the company welcomed its 1,000th customer, quadrupled its number of employees, acquired onboarding software company Parklet, expanded its technology capabilities and gained significant recognition across the talent acquisition landscape.

“Greenhouse designs tools that give people the power to grow great businesses,” said Daniel Chait, CEO of Greenhouse. “Since our founding in 2012, we have been the fastest-growing company in our industry. 2015 was our biggest year ever; we have grown by every measure and have become the partner of choice for enterprises seeking to transform how they hire. I am incredibly grateful to the entire Greenhouse team for helping us achieve such positive results, and look forward to further growing our functionality and extending our global reach in the year ahead.”

Welcoming New Clients

Greenhouse’s platform enables users to find candidates from all sources, conduct focused interviews, determine right-fit talent and measure each aspect of the hiring process to achieve continuous improvement. Due to this intuitive, data-based approach, more companies have sought to leverage the Greenhouse platform to transform how they hire. Overall, the company added over 850 new clients in 2015, growing its customer base significantly and welcoming its 1,000th customer, cloud security services and solutions company, Netskope.

“Netskope hires A+ players, so we seek to engage job candidates who are experts in their field,” said Brendan Lynch, Talent Acquisition at Netskope. “That’s why partnering with Greenhouse makes sense for us. Experts in recruitment technology, they also share our make-it-happen culture and customers-are-number-one values.”

Among the additional new clients added in 2015 are fast-growing companies and industry leaders including Slack, IDEO, Jet.com, HortonWorks and MongoDB. Throughout the year, Greenhouse has expanded its focus from mainly start-ups and technology companies to include employers across all industries, including financial, healthcare, education, media and retail. Greenhouse has also attracted a great deal of business from global companies with international footprints, such as Booking.com.

Expanding Team

To meet the needs of a rapidly growing customer base, Greenhouse welcomed many new employees to join its team of professionals changing the way companies hire. After starting 2015 with 45 employees, Greenhouse quadrupled that number throughout the year, resulting in a total of 184 employees working in its New York City and San Francisco offices. As the company is in the midst of a rapid growth trajectory, it expects to further expand its hiring efforts throughout 2016.

New Functionality, New Partnerships

Greenhouse’s enormous success can be attributed to its constantly growing platform. In October, the company unveiled Greenhouse Analytics, an advanced recruiting analytics solution providing employers with the robust data to track strategic recruiting KPIs and elevate the success of their hiring strategies. Greenhouse has also expanded its partner network extensively, providing seamless integrations with some of the most innovative software solution providers specializing in candidate screening, candidate sourcing, job advertising, video interviewing and social platforms. To date, Greenhouse has 68 integrated partners including a just-announced integration with Zenefits.

In addition, Greenhouse made its first acquisition in November, acquiring Parklet, an award-winning cloud-based employee onboarding and experience software company. Through this acquisition, Greenhouse is able to expand its platform and extend the candidate experience to the employee experience, helping clients create a more consistent engagement model that enables new hires to become productive employees more quickly.

Funding to Fuel Growth

As Greenhouse continues to introduce new innovations in the recruitment space and attract new customers, the company has garnered the interest of many leading technology investors. In 2015, the company received two rounds of funding: $13.6 million in Series B financing announced in March, followed by $35 million in Series C in August. These investments have been used to expand the company’s sales, marketing and product development initiatives and to bring its solutions to new industries and markets around the globe.

Industry Recognition and Awards

Throughout 2015, Greenhouse has received accolades from industry publications, experts and analysts. In June, Greenhouse was included in Mary Meeker’s 2015 Internet Trends Report, an in-depth look at the biggest global internet trends and the companies transforming how business is done. The report recognized Greenhouse for transforming recruiting from a reactive, complicated process to a proactive and collaborative activity. The company was also highlighted by The New York Times as a potential unicorn – a startup achieving $1 billion valuation.

In addition, Greenhouse received several industry awards, including:

Looking Ahead

“Greenhouse is determined to remain at the forefront of innovation in the recruitment space,” said Chait. “Our stellar performance in 2015 highlights our ability to deliver on this goal, leveraging the talent, partners and technology to transform how companies hire. As we expand beyond recruiting to address onboarding and the overall employee experience, the opportunity in front of Greenhouse is tremendous. We look forward to continuing our strong momentum throughout 2016 and beyond.”
