HRchitect Announces EVP Retirement and Succession Plan

March 16, 2022 – FRISCO, Tx. – HRchitect, Inc. announced today that Brian Kimball, Executive Vice President of Implementation Consulting Services, plans to retire at the end of the quarter. The Executive Management team, who were notified of Kimball’s intent to retire in early 2021, has appointed Erica Niesse to succeed Kimball effective April 1, 2022.

Kimball’s retirement comes after 22 years of service at HRchitect and 30+ years in the technology space.

“On behalf of the management team, and HRchitect’s 50+ employees, we want to thank Brian for his leadership and impact over his more than two decades with the organization,” said Matt Lafata, President & CEO. “A steadfast and strategic leader, Brian has guided HRchitect’s implementation services team over the past decade after spending numerous years as a top notch HCM consultant and project manager. Brian was a natural fit for the position based on his background and helped HRchitect became a leading implementation firm with an enviable reputation while always practicing kindness, empathy, and humor. He has become a great friend to all of us at HRchitect, and to so many others in the HCM technology industry. Although he will be greatly missed, we know he is looking forward to a well-deserved retirement.”

Erica Niesse’s appointment as Kimball’s successor is the culmination of a robust, multi-year leadership development and succession planning process led by the management team.

Her deep expertise coupled with a strong track record of leadership and execution makes Erica the right choice to lead HRchitect’s implementation consulting team through its next phase of continued growth. I am excited to see Erica’s vision, passion and dedication to our consultants and company unfold in the coming months and years as she leads HRchitect’s implementation practices forward,“ said Kimball.

Kimball continued, “HRchitect has come so far since I came on board in 2000. Erica joined HRchitect in 2013 and in her 9-year tenure has held many senior roles including Director of Workforce Management Consulting Services. She was appointed Vice President of Implementation Consulting Services in May of 2021 and continues to drive excellent results including double-digit growth across all HRchitect’s implementation consulting practices.

When asked what is next for Kimball in retirement, he shared, “It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work so closely with Matt, Jacqueline, Erin and the leadership team here at HRchitect and to develop close friendships with my colleagues. Although I will miss everyone, I am excited to move forward with this new chapter of my life, enjoying at my leisure my horses, gardens and country life with my wife Kathie, able now to take on together the many projects that have bubbled away on the back burner. Maybe now I can finally figure out how to make a nice apple brandy from my annual apple harvest!”
