It’s well into the last quarter of the year and the holiday season is almost upon us. As many of us are busy planning year-end family vacations or scheduling trips to be with loved ones, it’s a good idea to make a check list of all items you need to do, both personally and professionally, before you officially head out on your vacation or holiday travel. Your list probably includes everything from making sure your house is secure while you’re gone and taking your pets to be boarded to following up with candidates about outstanding job offers and making sure you’ve pulled those monthly reports for your boss. One of the last things I do when I’m getting ready to officially head out on vacation is to set up my out of office e-mail reply. My out of office message always lists the contact information of a colleague who is available and able to address any important e-mails that come in from my prospects and clients.
Nowadays, many companies like HRchitect, have implemented a “buddy system” so that there is a secondary point of contact for internal and external customers to reach out to for urgent matters. In the HR technology industry, some tasks are absolutely vital to the day-to-day operations of an organization. For example, payroll processing is essential in every organization. It’s crucial that if someone who is in charge of monitoring and/or administering the system goes on vacation, there is a member of the team who can act as backup.
For this reason and many others, HRchitect, has created support plans that allow our clients to utilize our consultants to help fill in the gaps of their day-to-day operations as it relates to the client’s HCM technology systems. Our consultants have vast experience which makes us able to offer support plans for many platforms in today’s HR technology marketplace. Combined with the flexibility in terms of whether you need a few hours of support coverage here and there, or regularly need coverage for weeks or months at a time, we have options that will fit your needs. The end goal is that you can go on vacation with peace of mind that business operations will continue without delay and for once, you’ll be able to totally unplug from work, and not check your e-mail or voicemail for a few days.
Whether you’re a small company or a large global firm, let HRchitect be your back up out of office contact. Even better, we can act as a natural extension of your regular HR team helping out as needed to diminish your team’s workload when there isn’t quite enough demand to hire another full-time team member. Our experienced consultants will handle your HR technology projects so you can enjoy time out of the office when you need it, and work alongside you to cross items off your HR technology to do list when you’re in the office.
Here are just a few of the items we’re helping clients with right now:
- Creation and maintenance of system content, implementation, and integration with other systems
- Configuration changes, content changes, and management of application changes
- Tactical support for version migrations, new products, updates, and global rollouts
- Troubleshooting issues and logging support incidents
- Configuration and testing assistance
- Covering for a recruiting system administrator who is attending a conference for 3 days this week
- Covering as the HRIS/Payroll administrator for a client whose regular administrator is on a sabbatical
