Talent management leader will recognize educators and their schools for acknowledging those who inspired their life’s work and passion for educating

AUSTIN, Texas — Feb. 22, 2016 — PeopleAdmin, a leader in talent management software for K-12 and higher education, today announced the launch of Inspired2Educate, a recognition program designed to honor and celebrate our nation’s teachers, school administrators and support staff.

Inspired2Educate encourages current education professionals at all K-20 schools and grades — from kindergarten to Ph.D. programs — to nominate via video or in writing a teacher, administrator, or staff member who inspired them to start their careers in education.

“Individually and as a society, we owe much to our educators,” said Kermit S. Randa, CEO of PeopleAdmin. “They inspire us to be our best, they set us on the road to greater achievement and happiness in life, and they play an integral role in shaping the future for our youth. Yet educating is an incredibly hard job. We want to celebrate educators and the enormous impact they have on our communities and the lives of others for decades and generations to come. We want to help enable that at a time when our schools need it most.”

“I recently shared the story of four educators who deeply impacted my life, and hope you will join me in doing the same,” Randa said. “If an educator has touched your life, and helped you become the educator you are today, Inspired2Educate is an opportunity to say ‘Thank You’ and to inspire future educators with your inspirational story.”

Inspired2Educate winners will be selected each month and receive a $1,000 scholarship toward their own professional development, as well as $1,000 for their educational institution to use however it sees fit.

PeopleAdmin serves a third of all educators and administrators across the entire education spectrum, who in turn serve more than 30 percent of all students in America. More than anything else, Randa said, finding, hiring and developing the right educators for the right jobs advances the mission of our schools and ensures the academic success of our students.

The Inspired2Educate program comes at a time when many states are experiencing teacher and administrator shortages. Recent polls show that educators today are more concerned about their jobs than they’ve been in years, as they deal with the stress and challenges inherent in the education system.

“Inspired2Educate is a reminder of what connects us as educators,” said Elaine Howard, Chief Human Resources Officer of Hays Consolidated Independent School District. “Our stories may be different, but we are all rooted in a common cause to inspire others.”

Randa added, “The more support we can offer teachers and faculty, the more they can focus on their life’s work — educating and inspiring students.”

Current K-20 educators are encouraged to visit the Inspired2Educate website to learn more about the contest. Nominations in the form of a short story or video will be accepted from now through Dec. 31, 2016. A panel that includes former educators on the PeopleAdmin staff, as well as third-party judges, will determine the winners.

“Everyone has a favorite educator who used their life’s work to challenge, encourage, and inspire their students,” Randa said. “One of mine was Mr. Johnson, my high school physics teacher, who showed me trust, gave me respect, and challenged me to achieve more than I thought I could. I gave him 101% in return.”

Randa continued: “We are thrilled PeopleAdmin can launch this program and do our small part to celebrate and honor the enormous contributions educators have made in all of our lives, and to encourage future educators.”
