Company Unveils New Mobile Capabilities and Improved Features to Find Talent Faster, Onboard More Efficiently and Ensure Compliance
CHARLESTON, S.C. (April 25, 2016) – Today PeopleMatter announced details of its April 2016 product release, delivering new functionality to streamline how service industry employers find and hire talent, onboard new employees and maintain compliance with the latest regulatory requirements.
“In a tight labor market, the ability to identify top candidates, whether external or already part of your organization, and hire and onboard them quickly, is key to creating a high-performing workforce and staying ahead of the competition,” said Anna Turner, vice president of Product Management for PeopleMatter. “Understanding this need, PeopleMatter continually enhances our workforce management technology to bring new efficiencies to these processes. With our latest updates, we introduce new functionality that allows our clients to conduct key hiring and onboarding activities from their mobile devices, enabling them to accelerate recruiting and get qualified talent into their roles much faster.”
To ensure it continues to meet the needs of its service industry clients, PeopleMatter makes several updates to its platform each year, delivering new innovations to enhance how they manage their teams. With its April product release, PeopleMatter introduces several enhancements to help employers:
Find talent faster: Speed is essential to hiring the best talent before the competition does. With PeopleMatter’s new Job Fit Matching, employers can compare applicants’ assessment results to their current job openings, helping them find the best matches. In addition, the Mobile Applicant Details functionality enables managers to view all applicants in the last 14 days and reach out to qualified candidates as soon as possible, even on the go. New enhancements to the Mobile Applicant Alerts function inform managers as soon as a top candidate applies, further supporting faster hiring processes.
Onboard more efficiently: When onboarding new hires, it is crucial that all steps are handled consistently, compliantly and securely. PeopleMatter facilitates onboarding with the Required Manager Tasks function, ensuring crucial onboarding tasks are completed and accurate before pushing new hire data to third-party systems like HRIS and payroll. Moreover, Onboarding Tasks for Additional Jobs enables users to trigger additional onboarding tasks whenever a team member is promoted or changes jobs, ensuring all steps are completed for the new position. And with Mobile Document Fast Capture, managers can take a picture of the new hire’s required Form I-9 or E-Verify documents and upload them securely to the team member’s record.
Ensure compliance: PeopleMatter continually invests in improving how its clients maintain compliance with the latest regulatory changes, such as the impending new version of E-Verify, and updates to the Federal W-4 form and several state tax forms. PeopleMatter has introduced Background Check Consent by Location to accommodate state or local government-based requirements around gathering consent in the application process to enable administrators to configure their application forms according to the rules of each location.
PeopleMatter’s cloud-based workforce management system is designed to help employers in the service industry automate and connect their people strategies to run a more efficient, more profitable business. Developed to address the unique needs of the industry, such as having large, hourly workforces spread across multiple locations, PeopleMatter’s all-in-one platform is used by more than 47,000 restaurant, convenience store, retail, grocery and hospitality locations to optimize their workforces. With solutions for hiring, learning and development, scheduling and performance management, PeopleMatter’s solutions help businesses build high performing teams able to reach their goals and lead to greater customer satisfaction.
