Saba Appoints Industry Veteran Phil Saunders as President

Redwood Shores, CA, July 27, 2015 –– Saba, a leader in cloud-based intelligent talent management solutions, today announced the appointment of Phil Saunders as President and member of the Board of Directors. In his new role, Saunders will guide Saba’s leadership development and bolster its growth as an innovator in the talent management software industry.

Bringing more than 25 years of experience in the technology, software and services space, Saunders joins from Gemalto (Euronext: GTO) by way of their recent $890M acquisition of SafeNet, a global leader in cloud and data protection. As SafeNet’s Chief Revenue Officer, Saunders spent the past 15 years leading the transformation of the company to a market leadership position through expansive organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

At Saba, Saunders will oversee all market facing facets of the business and look to grow Saba’s existing offerings and presence in the talent management market. Saunders will also focus on the company’s continued global expansion and build out supporting sales, services, marketing, and customer success efforts.
