Employee Engagement Expert Kevin Kruse and Bersin by Deloitte’s Dr. Katherine Jones Featured as Guest Keynote Speakers

CHARLESTON, SC — March 26, 2015 — Today PeopleMatter announced that Kevin Kruse, New York Times bestselling author of four books and creator of several, multimillion dollar technology companies will share an empowering message with Collaborate attendees – a fully engaged workforce is the key to unlocking dramatic business results and improving employee health and their relationships outside of the workplace. Collaborate, PeopleMatter’s annual meet-up of the biggest service industry leaders, brands and ideas is May 4-6, 2015, in Charleston, SC.

Based on real-world experience as CEO of a “Best Places to Work” award-winning company and the results of surveys of more than 10 million people in 150 countries, Kruse will reveal how growth, recognition and trust are the drivers that turn average employees into high-performing teams.

“True employee engagement doesn’t mean happy or satisfied team members. Trust is the number driver. It’s your people saying, ‘I believe that the future is bright; I’m confident our leadership has big plans, and I’m part of the road to accomplishing those goals,’” said Kruse.

Kruse’s inspiration for his Guest Keynote Address comes from his newest book, Employee Engagement 2.0: How to Motivate Your Team for High Performance, which provides a detailed action plan that turns “task managers” into “people leaders.” Kruse writes regularly for Forbes.com and has published more than 100 articles for various publications on topics related to leadership, engagement and entrepreneurship.

In addition, Katherine Jones, Ph.D., Vice President, Human Capital Management (HCM) Technology Research, Bersin by Deloitte, Deloitte Consulting LLP, will headline day three of the conference. An industry veteran, Jones is widely published on all aspects of the technology ecosystem and its use in improving people management for optimal business results. By focusing on HR, learning and talent management, she looks for opportunities to position solutions to aid the HCM user community.

“Buyers used to look for workforce management technology to make each task easier and faster,” said Jones. “Today buyers seek HCM solutions that both add value to keeping compliant, and provide a means for employee collaboration and social connectivity within the workplace.”

Prior to joining Bersin by Deloitte, Jones was director of marketing for NetSuite Inc. Previously, she was a research director at the Aberdeen Group, where she established the company’s Human Capital Management practice, focusing on research and consulting services in HR, talent acquisition, workforce management and mid-market strategies. She has more than 300 published works to date.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Katherine Jones and Kevin Kruse headlining Collaborate ’15,” said Nate DaPore, President and CEO of PeopleMatter. “Their knowledge of the challenges and trends our customers and prospective clients are facing in the service industry is unmatched. They are dynamic visionaries who will leave attendees with actionable advice they can understand, apply and share with their teams back home.”
