SmartSearch partners with Zipwhip to offer clients texting from a landline or toll free number via computer, tablet or smartphone.

OCEANSIDE, CA — August 6, 2015 – Advanced Personnel Systems, Inc. (APS), the maker of SmartSearch®, an industry leading talent acquisition system and recruitment business solution, has formed an integration partnership with Cloud texting provider, Zipwhip.

“Our entire team has been thrilled with the integration of Zipwhip,” states Travis Medley, President, Simply Biotech, a forward-thinking SmartSearch client that participated in the beta-testing of the two-way texting functionality. “Candidates are responding more quickly and we are receiving multiple phone calls from candidates who otherwise would not have texted back. The integration of this tool with SmartSearch is going to yield placements – and our team loves that.”

Zipwhip provides two-way texting integration using a 10-digit landline number to send text messages. This is an innovation improvement on the common 5-digit short code which is more expensive and less functional. By text enabling an existing landline number, users can send text messages from one number without having to source a different number. In addition, Zipwhip’s flexible communications technology provides complimentary apps that allow users to easily access texts through a computer, smartphone or tablet.

The advantages of this easy-to-use solution will benefit SmartSearch users with time and cost savings, along with greater flexibility to communicate on the fly with increasingly mobile clients and candidates. SmartSearch users may access their Zipwhip account using their existing business phone number, or use it at no additional cost from the shared account which disseminates texts from the SmartSearch designated 800 number. For SmartSearch clients who prefer their own Zipwhip account, a special rate has been negotiated.

Staffing agencies are finding a broad appeal with Zipwhip’s functionality to schedule text reminders to reduce the number of no-shows for appointments. Additionally, recruiters can notify multiple clients of immediate job openings in seconds with a bcc’d group text that saves valuable time and eliminates voicemail tag.

“We’re excited to partner with Zipwhip and to introduce their technology service to our clients,” states LJ Morris, CTO, Advanced Personnel Systems, Inc. “The feedback we’re receiving from our client beta testers is very positive. We take great pride in bringing our clients cutting-edge solutions that we develop internally, as well as through partnerships with our external vendors and affiliates,” notes Morris. “Our affiliation with Zipwhip is another in the long list of beneficial partnerships we’ve forged over the past 30 plus years.”

Since Zipwhip introduced business texting in 2013, staffing and recruiting firms have become one of the most prolific and largest group of early adopters.

‘With an increasing number of Millennials breaking into the workforce, beginning a text messaging relationship with job seekers is not only the preferred form of communication for reaching the younger generation, but it’s more personal and efficient,” states John Larson, CMO, Zipwhip.
