Talent Rover

Provider of staffing and recruitment technology to open Chicago office and aggressively hire local talent in all regions of the world.

Talent Rover, the comprehensive software platform that modernizes the staffing and recruitment industry, announced that it has completed a $2.2 million financing round. Since launching in 2011, the company has raised over $12.5M from a small group of angel investors. To meet increasing domestic and international demand, Talent Rover will open a Chicago office and aggressively hire local talent in Asia-Pacific and Europe.

Talent Rover was founded by Kent Gray and Brandon Metcalf, veteran recruiters who were frustrated with their industry’s archaic technology. They built Talent Rover to streamline workflows, improve the bottom line and provide better experiences for clients and candidates. Today, Talent Rover serves three of the world’s ten largest staffing organizations and has more than 65 employees across seven offices. They are located in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, London, Dublin, Hong Kong, Hyderabad and now Chicago.

“To complete this financing round, we turned to existing investors who believe in our product, strategy and leadership,” said Kent Gray, co-founder and CEO of Talent Rover. “They have helped us develop into a highly efficient, service-focused organization that can meet the needs of staffing firms anywhere in the world. We’re grateful for their continued support and advocacy.“

“We’re focused on putting customers at the center of everything we do,” said Brandon Metcalf, co-founder and COO of Talent Rover. “Wherever our customers operate, we intend to hire operations and sales teams that understand local language, recruitment culture and regulations. This round will enable us to scale faster in key growth regions while continuing to drive innovation.”

In 2015, Talent Rover introduced significant expansions and improvements to the platform, including:

  1. Client and Candidate Communities, a collaboration and business process platform built on the Salesforce Community Cloud.
  2. Talent Rover Healthcare Staffing Edition, a modern approach to credentialing, billing, per diem scheduling, MSPs and other challenges in healthcare staffing.
  3. Enterprise Edition, a true enterprise-class platform without the usual inefficiencies and complexity.

This year, the team will continue to introduce new features and specialized editions of Talent Rover for recruitment verticals. They will also expand Communities to offer new client and candidate experiences that differentiate recruitment firms from their competitors.
