Senior-Level IT and Management Executive Promoted Based on Proven Ability to Develop Business Strategy and Drive Performance
HOUSTON, May 11, 2015 – Tatum, a Randstad company and leading professional and interim services firm offering hands-on strategic, financial and technology solutions that measurably improve business performance, today announced the promotion of Jim Schuchard to managing partner of the Tatum Houston office. In addition to his current responsibilities as Tatum’s managing partner for Dallas, Schuchard now will direct the development and expansion of the company’s Houston practice.
“Under Jim’s leadership, our Dallas office has thrived, enhancing our ability to deliver hands-on strategic, financial and technology solutions to our clients throughout the Southwest,” said Jim Dimitriou, managing partner, Western region for Tatum. “Jim’s dedication to improving our customers’ business outcomes is second to none. Coupled with his strong business acumen and years of experience in building high-performing professional organizations, Jim was the natural choice to lead our growing Houston office.”
With more than 35 years of experience in the information technology and management consulting industries, Schuchard has proven himself as an effective leader with a well-rounded skill set that includes strategy, business development and operations management. Before joining Tatum in 2010, he served as managing vice president of The Hitachi Consulting Group, where he worked closely with the CEO in the execution of strategic initiatives and acquisitions within the United States and Europe. During his time at Hitachi Consulting, Schuchard also served as the firm’s first European COO and the Dallas market leader.
Prior to his position at Hitachi, Schuchard spent more than 20 years at Arthur Andersen in a variety of leadership roles, including Dallas market leader of Business Consulting and the U.S. leader for corporate business solutions. He also served as the chief information officer for the American Heart Association (AHA) where he implemented the organization’s strategic technology plan and led the transformation of the AHA’s use of state-of-the-art technology.
Schuchard earned a Master of Science degree in finance and a bachelor of business administration degree in Finance from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. In addition to his volunteer role as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, he has also served as a board member of the YMCA and the social services non-profit, Dave’s Wish.
In collaboration with Randstad Professionals, Randstad Technologies and Randstad Engineering, Tatum will be hosting an open house later this month to introduce Schuchard and to celebrate the relocation of its Houston office, now located at 515 Post Oak Blvd., Suite 700.
