Leading game developer implements new tools to increase engagement in employee benefits program
Charleston, S.C. – Oct. 22, 2015 – Benefitfocus, Inc. (NASDAQ: BNFT), a leading provider of cloud-based benefits management software, today announced that video game developer and publisher Ubisoft (EPA: UBI) has selected BENEFITFOCUS® Marketplace to upgrade its benefits enrollment, communication and administration process. The platform’s user-oriented design and powerful back end support will help Ubisoft create a more engaging benefits experience for its U.S.-based employees.
“Benefitfocus will provide a robust solution to meet our company’s high standards for intuitive, user-friendly technology,” said Kevin Ng, benefits team lead at Ubisoft San Francisco. “The functionality and personalization will enable a more streamlined approach to benefits and make the process easier for our employees.”
Benefitfocus Marketplace features a fluid, step-by-step enrollment experience that is tailored to the individual user. Upon logging in to the system, Ubisoft employees will be greeted by name, presented with a personalized to-do list and then guided through their applicable benefit options. The Marketplace captures individual preferences and risk tolerance to deliver a “best match” plan recommendation, which employees can compare side-by-side with other options. Educational videos, coverage calculators and other decision support tools are integrated into the enrollment workflow to provide added self-service functionality.
Beyond enrollment, the Marketplace includes the BENEFITFOCUS® Communication Portal, which will give Ubisoft employees year-round, on-demand access to their benefits information. Targeted messaging, a mobile app and other resources allow the HR team to effectively reach all employees, regardless of time or place. The portal can easily be configured to reflect Ubisoft’s brand and culture, and integrated with the company’s existing HCM system to create a seamless experience for employees that encourages meaningful engagement in the benefits program.
In addition to the Marketplace’s consumer-centric design, Ubisoft will take advantage of Benefitfocus’ powerful underlying architecture and support – the product of over 15 years of cloud-based benefits management experience in both the insurance carrier and large employer market – to facilitate efficiency and adaptability as the company’s benefits strategy evolves. Benefitfocus’ quarterly software release cycle will ensure that Ubisoft has consistent access to the latest functionality to continually enhance its benefits program.
“It’s gratifying when a sophisticated tech company like Ubisoft selects our benefits management solution,” said Benefitfocus CEO Shawn Jenkins. “We continue to make user experience a top priority for the many consumers on our platform, not just because it’s what they’ve come to expect in modern technology, but because it ultimately enables better decision making and helps companies more easily execute on benefits strategies that meet the needs of their employees.”
