Ultimate Software, a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions in the cloud, announced today that it has been ranked #19 on the 2017 Workforce 100 list, created by Workforce magazine. The worldwide Workforce 100 scores and ranks companies that perform best in seven core areas: workplace culture, employee benefits, diversity and inclusion, employee development and talent management, human resources innovation, leadership development, and talent acquisition.
The ranking is based on public data from a representative list of established benchmarking and ranking programs in the identified categories. For the first time, Workforce partnered with job-review website Glassdoor Inc. to include data on employee satisfaction in key areas. This change in methodology allowed researchers to generate a score that made comprehensive HR participation and employee feedback the primary focus, rather than excellence in one core area.
“We are honored to be recognized as a leader in the categories that define overall HR excellence,” said Vivian Maza, chief people officer at Ultimate. “Our commitment to putting people first guides our approach to every aspect of the employee experience, and we are gratified by the results. We are also proud that our employees’ show of support enabled Ultimate Software to qualify for the Workforce 100 with the highest ranking in our industry, alongside some of the world’s most prestigious companies.”
Now in its fourth year, the Workforce 100 recognizes companies that excel in HR over the course of a year. To determine which companies make the list, Workforce editors work with researchers from the Human Capital Media Advisory Group, the publication’s research arm. The research team created a statistical formula to sift through publicly available data on HR performance, and in combination with data from Glassdoor, created the 2017 Workforce 100 list. This year’s Workforce 100 includes companies such as Facebook, Disney, Apple, Nike, and American Express.
