Demand for tailored talent management tools drives SelectSuite® adoption

AUSTIN, Texas – PeopleAdmin, a leader in talent management for K-12, higher education and government, today announced 12 new community college customers as it continues to help higher education institutions find, retain and develop the faculty and staff they need to advance their evolving academic missions.

Community colleges face unique challenges of integrating hiring data from multiple campuses into one centralized system. PeopleAdmin’s cloud-based talent management solution, SelectSuite®, helps institutions do that.

“Community colleges are an essential part of the education continuum,” said CEO Kermit Randa. “They can create a unique environment that invites innovation and new ways to connect with students. To do that well, though, they need to effectively and efficiently find and develop the best teachers and staff.”

PeopleAdmin now serves about 250 community colleges across North America.

The company’s suite of talent management solutions helps colleges, universities and government agencies improve operational efficiency, minimize risk and organize the entire talent management lifecycle.
New community college customers include Central Texas College, Rio Hondo College and Butler Community College.

With 140 locations worldwide and the largest community college system serving the U.S. military, Central Texas College needed the ability to manage multiple job descriptions, handle different application types, and separate employment groups in one centralized system.

“I am excited about our partnership with PeopleAdmin,” said Holly Jordan, director of human resource management at Central Texas College District. “I look for them to enhance the hiring and selection at our continental locations.”

Yolanda Emerson, director of Human Resources at Rio Hondo College, said her institution wants to eliminate an antiquated application process and improve its ability to find, hire and onboard a more diverse group of candidates. She wanted specific tools for customized workflows for both faculty and staff hiring cycles, and the ability to deliver reporting capabilities that could pull diversity data as well as time-to-fill job metrics.

“Rio Hondo College is committed to diverse hiring practices. PeopleAdmin will enhance our ability to attract a more diverse pool of applicants while simultaneously gathering vital information for forecasting, planning and enhanced recruitment efforts,” she said.

“We are excited to launch our new applicant tracking system and move to a paperless, automated approach,” said Kathy Conner, employment and benefits specialist at Butler Community College. “We believe this will lead to a more positive experience for applicants and will smooth the hiring process for our search committees.”

Also partnering with PeopleAdmin are Southeastern Community College, Danville Area Community College, Lamar State College-Port Arthur, Craven Community College, Cerritos Community College District, Midland College, and Essex County College, as well as Nashville State Community College and Dyersburg State Community College — both in the Tennessee Board of Regents school system.

Randa said, “We’re helping community colleges operate efficiently and maintain a 360-degree view of their talent strategy so they can stay focused on the very important populations they serve and meet the expectations of their students.”
