NEW YORK (June 23, 2015) – Work Market, the SaaS solution that helps companies find, manage and pay their freelance and independent contractor workforce from a single platform, today announced the upgraded capabilities of its Freelance Management System (FMS), offering new functionality to transform how companies manage their entire roster of contingent labor.
By delivering a unified platform to manage outsourced service providers alongside directly engaged independent contractors, Work Market now provides enterprises and field service organizations with the tools they need to better service their customers, reduce response times and grow the bottom-line.
Among the capabilities introduced include a new Vendor Toolset, especially designed for organizations that simultaneously use 1099 contractors, vendors, agencies and third-party service providers. Service organizations operating in a highly competitive market require flexible technology that allows them to leverage an on-demand field service organization to accelerate service delivery, increase margins and improve customer satisfaction.
Work Market’s consolidated vendor management allows original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and enterprises to send a work request to a contractor, or a value-added reseller (VAR), who can then delegate the assignment to another contractor. This gives OEMs greater visibility into their partner ecosystem, while helping their service partners directly access the on-demand talent needed to generate new revenue streams and compete in a hyper-responsive service world.
In addition to the Vendor Toolset, Work Market introduced several other upgrades to its FMS designed to further enhance how enterprises and service organizations manage their contingent labor. New features include vendor profiles, which enable external service providers, such as VARs and managed service providers (MSPs), to take on new work from the Work Market platform. Improved search functionality and enhanced messaging enable businesses to better communicate with their field service technicians.
In addition, the company offers parts and logistics support; through intelligent routing, service organizations can track parts and locations to ensure their field technicians have the equipment, tools and information needed to responsively perform at a high level.
