Our Spotlight series provides an opportunity to meet the remarkable individuals at HRchitect. Each month, we highlight a member of our team, so you can learn more about their unique contributions and get to know them on a personal level. This month, we are excited to feature Tausif Mohammad, Technical Services Manager in our Dayforce practice. As Technical Services Manager, Tausif leads a team of consultants while continuing to provide strategic guidance on complex Dayforce integrations, technical solutions and client delivery initiatives.
Tausif’s career path started with electrical engineering, wireless technology, and time spent working in a lab with devices at BlackBerry. The work was cutting-edge, but something was missing: people.
“I was doing really cutting-edge technological work,”
Tausif shared,
“but I realized I was missing the human interaction.”
That realization eventually led him into the world of HCM consulting, though like many people in this industry, he did not exactly grow up dreaming about workforce management, payroll, or general ledger configuration.
In fact, when Tausif first joined Dayforce, someone asked if he would be working in workforce management or payroll.
“I was like, I don’t know. I just know I have a job here,” he said with a laugh.
Then came one of his first GL calls.
“I remember thinking, is that good luck? What is GL?” Tausif said. “Then they told me it was general ledger, and I realized I had a lot to learn.”
That willingness to ask questions, learn quickly, and run toward complex problems has shaped his entire career. Tausif started as an associate consultant and moved through the ranks quickly, growing into roles that allowed him to combine his technical background with his natural ability to connect with people.
Today, he brings that same combination of technical expertise, leadership, and client-focused problem solving to HRchitect.
Tausif has spent more than a decade in the Dayforce ecosystem, including 10 years at Dayforce before moving into the system integrator partner space and eventually joining HRchitect. His work spans integrations, data conversion, custom reporting, general ledger, technical services, and the kind of behind-the-scenes problem-solving that can make or break a project.
And when something complicated comes up?
Well, maybe the team should just….
Better Call Tausif
“A lot of my friends, anytime there was an issue, would call me. Whether it was taxes, an assignment, or some kind of problem, they would bring it to me, and I would say, ‘Okay, I’ll solve it.’”

Technical Services Manager, Dayforce
The reference comes from one of Tausif’s favorite shows, Better Call Saul. When asked which character from the Breaking Bad universe he related to most, Tausif chose Saul Goodman, not because of the questionable legal activity, of course, but because of the ability to step into a messy situation, understand what went wrong, and find a way forward.
“Even with clients, they bring in issues and I’m like, how did you get into this place?” he joked. “Your employees were paid incorrectly for a couple of weeks? Okay, bring this to me, I’ll solve it.”
That mix of humor, calm, and practical problem-solving is very Tausif. He can talk through highly technical requirements without making the conversation feel intimidating. He understands that integrations, payroll, data, and system configuration can be stressful for clients, especially when the stakes are high. His approach is to listen first, understand what the client is truly experiencing, and then help create a path forward.
For Tausif, the human side of consulting is not separate from the technical work. It is what makes the technical work successful.

“There are parts of this job where technology can help us,”
Tausif said.
“But talking to a client, really understanding what they’re going through, seeing what they value, and figuring out how to bring value to them, that comes from human interaction.”
Leadership
That people-first mindset also shows up in the way Tausif leads his team.
As Technical Services Manager, he is not just overseeing work from a distance. He is in it with his team, supporting client calls, helping solve technical challenges, and stepping in when a situation needs a steady hand.

“Tausif is truly wonderful, so thoughtful and always looking out for others. And he somehow always has the latest insight. I like to joke with him he’s our own version of TMZ.”
Erica Niesse
EVP, Global Services
“Tausif is indeed a wonderful person that is all about team.”
Matt Lafata
President and CEO
“For me, leadership is leading by example,” Tausif said. “I want my team to see that I’m in the trenches with them.”
He believes that being close to the work makes him a better leader. It allows him to understand what his team is experiencing, help balance workloads, and offer guidance based on real project context.
“If there is an issue, we solve it together.”
“If there is a difficult customer, I can take the lead and help defuse the situation. If there is too much work, we divide and conquer.”

That approach has made an impression across HRchitect.

A Dayforce Project Tausif is most proud of:
Helping HRchitect bring integrations work in-house through the Brother International project.
Before Tausif joined HRchitect, integrations were often sent to another partner. Brother International became the first project where HRchitect handled all integrations internally, and it was a major milestone for the team.
Having worked on both the software provider side and the consulting partner side, Tausif brings a unique perspective to helping clients maximize their Dayforce investment.
“Against a lot of odds, we had everything ready for go-live,” Tausif said.
The project began with Tausif and later grew to include additional team members who helped drive the work to completion. For him, the project stands out not only because it was successful, but because it represented a meaningful step forward for HRchitect’s Dayforce practice.
“With it being the first one, it was very special,” he shared.
Tausif’s work is technical, but the way he talks about it is refreshingly human. He remembers what it felt like to be new to HCM, to hear acronyms and wonder what everyone else already knew, and to ask questions anyway.
That experience shaped how he supports both clients and teammates today.
Early in his career, he worried that asking basic questions might make people think he knew nothing. Then he realized something important.
“That was true,” he said with a laugh. “I absolutely knew nothing. But I could bring value by adding to what they were doing.”
That humility has stayed with him.
He understands that not everyone enters HCM with a perfectly mapped-out plan. Many people land here through one opportunity, one connection, or one unexpected career turn. Tausif did, too. What matters is the willingness to learn, solve problems, and help people along the way.
“I realized quickly that it is about talking to someone, understanding what issue they are going through, and trying to solve that,” he said.
Outside of work, Tausif is family-oriented and usually happiest spending time at home with his wife and two young children. With one child turning seven this year and another turning two, his weekends are often full of family time, kid activities, birthday parties, and whatever else life with little ones brings.
When he does get downtime, he enjoys walking near the lake, biking during the short Canadian summer, listening to podcasts, and watching sports. He is especially happy to go to a stadium for just about any game, including soccer, hockey, or cricket.
“Any sort of game, I would rather go to the stadium than watch it at home,” he said.
He also appreciates the flexibility of remote work, especially after years of commuting in Toronto.
“I think I lost two and a half hours every day going in and out of the office,” he said. “I’m happy that I get to have that time back.”
That time matters. It helps him structure his day, support clients across time zones, be present for his family, and still make room for the occasional walk with a podcast about discipline, efficiency, patience, or parenting.
Outside of work, Tausif enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, planning family travel adventures, and cheering on Manchester United.

And when the kids are asleep? He might be rewatching Breaking Bad with his wife, followed naturally by Better Call Saul.

Tausif’s story is one of curiosity, humility, technical depth, and genuine care for the people around him. He did not set out to become a Dayforce expert, but he found a career that let him solve complex problems while staying connected to people, and that combination has become his strength.
Whether he is helping a client untangle a difficult integration, supporting a teammate behind the scenes, celebrating a Raven review with new sneakers, or choosing Saul Goodman as his fictional alter ego, Tausif brings thoughtfulness, humor, and steady leadership to the work.
HRchitect is proud to have Tausif on the team, and the next time a tricky Dayforce challenge appears, we know exactly who to call.
