September 8, 2025 – FRISCO, Tx. – HRchitect, Inc. announced today that Jacqueline Kuhn, Executive Vice President of Strategic Services, plans to retire at the end of the month. The Executive Management team, who were notified of Kuhn’s intent to retire in 2023, has appointed Erica Niesse, current EVP of Implementation & Support Services, to oversee the Strategic Services group. This will centralize all consulting services – Strategic, Implementation & Support practices – under unified leadership. The Strategic Services consulting team will remain in place and will continue to provide uninterrupted, exceptional service to the HRchitect client base.
Kuhn’s retirement comes after 13 years of service at HRchitect and 40+ years in the HR technology industry.

While we will greatly miss her leadership and presence, we celebrate this well-deserved retirement and know she’s looking forward to this exciting new chapter.”
Erica Niesse’s expanded role represents the culmination of a comprehensive, multi-year succession planning process led by the management team. “Erica’s proven track record of excellence in leading multiple consulting practices, combined with her deep industry expertise and strong leadership capabilities, makes her the ideal choice to guide our Strategic Services group through its next phase of continued growth,” said Lafata.
Erica joined HRchitect in 2013 and has held multiple senior leadership roles, including EVP of Implementation & Support Services, VP of Implementation Services, and Director of the WorkForce Software practice. Her expanded role ensures seamless continuity of service delivery across all consulting services practices while positioning the Strategic Services group for accelerated growth and expanded capabilities.
Reflecting on her career across her decades of experience in the HR technology industry, Jacqueline commented, “I would never have been able to be in a position at HRchitect if not for the people who helped me throughout my career. With over 40 years in the industry, some of the friendships I have made have stood strong for 30+ years. I’m grateful for the many industry contacts and friends and the alternative perspectives, critical thinking-fueled organizational problem solving, and of course, the fun we’ve had together.
I will miss my HRchitect colleagues tremendously and have complete confidence in Erica’s leadership and the strategic direction of our consulting services. While HR technology has changed significantly since I joined HRchitect, the business problems that we solve for have not. I’m proud of the ways our consulting organization has consistently innovated to provide cutting edge solutions that help our client organizations transform HR in a more meaningful way.”
When asked about her retirement plans, Kuhn shared, “I will be helping my husband with his hobby business and also have a hobby business of my own, outside of HR technology, that I will be taking to the next level. Additionally, I will serve as an advisor to a few small business owners in my local community, leveraging my knowledge and expertise to help them navigate business challenges. That being said, no more 8:00 am calls. I look forward to wrapping up my days early so I can spend time at the beach, in the garden, walking in the woods – basically enjoying each day as it comes!”
