HRchitect Delivers Successful UKG TeleStaff Implementation for Sheriff’s Office

Client Background

As our Sheriff’s Office Client continued to enhance public safety services for its community, leadership recognized the need for a workforce management solution capable of supporting complex staffing requirements across multiple divisions.

Prior to implementing UKG TeleStaff, our Client lacked a dedicated workforce management platform for scheduling and staffing operations. With responsibilities spanning law enforcement, corrections, court security, and other public safety functions, ensuring adequate staffing levels across all areas was increasingly challenging. The Sheriff’s Office selected UKG TeleStaff based on proven success with the platform in previous public safety organizations. Leadership had firsthand experience with UKG TeleStaff and understood its ability to support the unique scheduling demands of public safety agencies.

The Challenge

The Project

HRchitect partnered with our Client to implement UKG TeleStaff and support the organization through a phased deployment strategy. The project included three separate workstreams covering multiple operational divisions, and the implementation was structured to begin with the Sheriff’s Office’s 24/7 operations before expanding to additional departments.

The rollout included:

• Patrol and School Resource Officers
• Corrections
• Judicial Services
• Administrative and support staff

In addition to the TeleStaff implementation, HRchitect provided integration and reporting expertise, including:

• Accrual imports from the organization’s payroll system
• Configuration of the UKG TeleStaff Extra Duty module for managing special events and off-duty assignments
• Custom Extra Duty invoicing reports
• Custom payroll export templates

The Extra Duty functionality allows our Client to efficiently manage staffing for multi-day events, community activities, and other special assignments while maintaining visibility into resource allocation and associated costs.

Thanks to a highly engaged client project team with previous UKG TeleStaff experience, solution design, testing, and decision-making progressed efficiently throughout the engagement. All three workstreams were completed ahead of schedule.
