Hometown:  Toronto, Ontario

Alma mater:  University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

All-time favorite restaurant: Zen Japanese Restaurant, Markham, Ontario

Last book you read or favorite movie/TV series: It’s a three-way tie between “The Empire Strikes Back” or “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” or “The Matrix” as my all-time favorite movies.

What do you do when you’re not working? I enjoy researching recipes and developing my version of a dish. I also love to spend time with my family and explore new places and foods.

How did you learn about HRchitect, and what made you join the company?  After receiving a message out of the blue on LinkedIn from HRchitect, I was initially unable to reply immediately due to my focus on completing a project for my previous employer. However, months after the initial outreach, I contacted HRchitect. I was thrilled to meet with the future team members and was immediately drawn to the fit, opportunities, and culture of the organization.

How has your background impacted your experience as a consultant?  My background in Computer Science and years of experience implementing various Workforce Management (WFM) solutions have given me the foundation and the skill set needed to successfully support our WorkForce Software (WFS) practice. I have worked on multiple projects and with a multitude of clients in the past, which has been very helpful considering the ever-growing client base our WFS practice supports.

In your own words, what do you do at HRchitect? I ensure our WFS clients receive the best collaborative support from our team. I am involved with many implementation-related activities, such as design, build, testing, and managed support services.

What’s a typical workday like for you? Each day is different as I may have client-related meetings to attend, integrations or reports to design and build, client issues to review and troubleshoot, or provide knowledge transfer and mentor team members.

Tell me about a project you’ve worked on that you’re particularly proud of. I’m proud of one of our end-to-end projects, where I participated in a full client project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to design, build, testing, and post-go-live support. Knowing the thought and effort put into a client’s unique business requirements is fulfilling, and we can meet their requirements through our knowledge and expertise.

What’s been one of your favorite destinations to travel to for a client site visit/Partner conference/HRchitect event? It would have to be our WFS practice’s team meeting in Nashville, Tennessee – seeing and being with my colleagues in person was great.

As part of a team that works 100% virtually, what technology or collaboration tools do you use to make your work life easier? Our team primarily uses Slack, Smartsheet, Zoom meetings, and good old email when needed. I use OneNote to track any notes or to remember screenshots.

What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day?  I like to work with my team and our varied clients, as there’s always a new challenge to meet and hopefully surpass!

Which employee perk that HRchitect offers do you enjoy the most? Why? I enjoy our generous PTO perk the most, as there’s a clear emphasis on having a good work-life balance.
