Last book you read:

I am a history buff, so I enjoy reading books about history. I recently enjoyed reading the book and watching the movie adaptation of Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice by Adam Makos.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I spent many years coaching my children’s sports teams while they were growing up. Now that I have three teenage children, we continue to be a big sports family and enjoy playing various sports and basketball together. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and playing golf and basketball. My wife and I just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We treated ourselves to a trip to Chicago to visit Wrigley Field and watch the Cubs play the Brewers. Of course, we enjoyed the city and eating at some fantastic restaurants.

How did you learn about HRchitect, and what made you join the company?

I heard about HRchitect from my current colleague, Michael Neubauer. I worked with Michael throughout my career at several companies. We always remained in close contact; he has become a good friend and colleague over the years. Once he joined HRchitect, he told me about all the great things HRchitect has to offer, and it was an excellent opportunity for me.

How has your background impacted your experience as a consultant?

I have years of payroll and HRIS experience. At a former company, I was working on a Ceridian Dayforce implementation project, and there was a turnover during that project. I had to jump in and learn all I could through training and teaching myself to ensure the implementation was successful. I formed a good relationship with the Ceridian team assigned to the project, who taught me a lot, and I made some great connections. Through this project, I was very fortunate to learn all about the Ceridian Dayforce platform, which has helped me become the successful consultant I am today.

In your own words, what do you do at HRchitect?

In my role, I assist clients with making sure we capture their data from their legacy system into Ceridian Dayforce, help test the data, problem-solve, and offer better solutions so that the client can maximize the benefits of Dayforce versus their legacy system. As a result, I help simplify their new system and their processes.

What’s a typical workday like for you?

A typical day consists of meetings, helping troubleshoot any data issues, and interacting with my team and clients.

Tell me about a project you’ve worked on that you’re particularly proud of.

I worked as an HRIS Analyst for five months at a billion-dollar global construction company. The company was in the process of a Ceridian Dayforce implementation when the project leads, the HRIS, and Payroll Director left. I was assigned to manage the project and was determined to ensure it was a success. Ultimately, it was a success, and this experience inspired me to become a consultant.

As part of a team that works 100% virtually, what technology or collaboration tools do you use to make your work life easier?

Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams are tools that I use for collaboration. These tools are very helpful with our clients and remote teams. Smartsheets is a great tool as well that I use to manage projects.

What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day?

What motivates me the most is having the HRchitect brand by my name. HRchitect is unlike any other company I have worked for. We are a team working together towards a common goal. We strive for the best in everything we do to make our leadership, clients, partners, and team proud.

Which employee perk that HRchitect offers do you enjoy the most? Why?

I love the flexibility and support we receive through our unlimited PTO benefit. I enjoy being able to take PTO to spend time with my family. The work-life balance is second to none. There is so much support from the leadership to our team, and they all make sure we take care of ourselves.
